I'll take a stab at the following:

1) Safety Statement: shop & worksite safety, lead-safe work

2) Fill a minor void in a sill, stile or rail

3) Sash Dis-assembly

4) Tighten Loose Sash Joints that are still sound

5) Re-pin mortise & tenon joint-metal

6) How window treatment relates to whole-building energy conservation

Hello John and sorry for the late input, but the Standard needs to include a statement addressing the Emergency Escape and Rescue requirements of Chapter 10 of International Building Code. Make note language in 1026.4 requires operation from the inside of the room 'without the use of keys or tools.'

Building officials may hold some historic rehabilitation to this requirement. This would be required in sleeping rooms, particularly for one/two and up to dwelling structures. Some developments with fire sprinkler and/or corridor systems would be exempt.

It would not be a requirement for each window, as only one egress window would be required per room. Also, the window would not qualify as emergency egress if opening area is less than 5.7 sqft.

I'm thinking that at this time it could simply be a general note in the operability section, but I would rather not have the Standard not speak to the issue.

Thanks for bringing up the Emergency Escape and Rescue requirements issue. I'll find a place to at least mention it in the Standards.

Ok John,

I've been through about everything that's been written. Is the outline pretty well updated so that if I start writing missing items I won't be repeating myself?
