General comment:
This approach requires roughly 1 hour of time and costs about $10 in materials. The air panels can last several seasons if cared for and not abused. It is not recommended for houses with curious pets or small children who can easily damage the shrink film. The air panel should be removed after winter to allow for adequate drying of the sills and jambs. (This comment can be made regarding all interior storm windows that have a solid panel of plastic or glass.)
