The Window Standards Preservation Collaborative (WPSC) is pleased to announce the 5th Bi-Annual Window Preservation Standards Summit scheduled for October, 2023. Watch this webpage for further Summit announcements.
Pine Mountain, “the most beautiful place on earth” is a National Historic Landmark in Harlan County and has hosted 3 of the 4 Summits. WPSC is a group of nationally recognized window preservation specialists who assemble and present national standards for the repair and weatherization of older and historic windows, as detailed in the publication Window Preservation Standards Book, published in 2013 after the first Summit.
The Summits provide information for the next edition of the Window Preservation Standards book. The standards provide definitive energy testing data comparing energy saving upgrades, and establish industry guidelines for the sustainable repair, restoration and weatherization of historic wood windows.
WPSC organizers are seeking observers, advisors and stakeholders to attend and participate in the Summit. These include independent tradespeople who perform window restoration work, contractors, architects, facilities managers, and owners of historic homes and commercial buildings.

Bummed I missed the last one, will be there this year.
I am so excited! I am hoping I can make it this year and might even convince my better half to join in on the fun 🙂
We’ll be there
I’ll be there. I’m looking to ride with someone driving from the East Coast. Anyone want a passenger?
I will be there and look forward to seeing you all at this great event.
Would love to attend and learn from the experts !
I’ve been asked to present 1 or 2 sessions. Please send me the link for the application. I couldn’t find it on the website.
Just registered. Looking forward to presenting and meeting everyone.
Hi Mark, what’s your presentation topic?
They asked me to do sash making with traditional tools and techniques.
Hey there, I really want to go this year. I’m wondering does anyone know if I could use my Americops Education Award to pay for the summit?
Carey, according to the Americorp website, it looks like the Award funds could not be used for the Summit, since the Window Standards project does not have a federally qualified student loan program. –John Leeke
